Before signing or renewing a long-term maintenance contract, let's review the previous year's maintenance:
1. Total cost of maintenance, repair, and overtime callbacks?
2. Repeat callbacks?
3. Monthly visits being skipped?
4. Type of maintenance contract, i.e. lube only, "no parts or
repairs"?
5. Is a monitor taking the place of the Elevator Mechanic?
6. Is the elevator still slamming doors, noisy, vibrating, or
not returning to floor level?
7. Did I sign a fancy proposal that provides minimal maintenance?
